Jarred McAdams - Men of Action

 

Men of Action is a one hour chamber opera begun in Oberlin, Ohio in late 1999 and complete in Oakland, California in eary 2002. It was produced in Oakland in June 2002, with McAdams directing and additional choreography by his frequent collaborator, Alyssa Wilmot. Audio and Video recordings of the performances are avaliable. Men of Action was also the subject of McAdams's Master's Thesis Paper entitled Notes on Men of Action. The paper is a detailed analysis of the text, music, and movement used in the piece. It also contains background information on McAdams, his influences, and his sensibilities.
